BTC Stewards slap a fine of Rs 5000 on Jockey Christopher

Bangalore, Dec 28 (UNI) The Bangalore Turf Club Stipendiary Stewards slapped a fine of Rs 5000 on Jockey J H Christopher, rider of Ballerina Girl in The Gomos Plate Div II on 12th day races, for wrong start.

Christopher was fined for coming in very sharply soon after jumping out of the gates (starter) and causing severe interference to 'Hurricane Rose' (S Ramesh up) on his inside.

The interference also affected 'Courtier' (Md Thameem up) and further inside 'Opera Princess (T Vijayan up), which had to be badly checked by its rider, as a result 'Autograph' (Shobhan Babu up) running directly behind 'Opera Princess' also had to be checked by its rider, thereby losing position approaching the 1000 Metres, according to a BTC press release here.

The Stewards imposed fine also on Jockey s Babu, the rider of 'Royal Heir' for not preserving with his mount during the seventh race on same day for Gamos Plate Div I.
