BCCI sends letter to physio Gloster seeking update on Munaf's injury

Mumbai, Dec 28 (UNI) The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has dashed off a letter to Team India's physio John Gloster for an update on the injury status of fast bowler Munaf Patel.

The cricket board has sent the letter, angry at the way the injury of the fast bowler has been handled by the support staff on the tour, especially the physio John Gloster.

The BCCI administrative head Prof Ratnakar Shetty said here today ''a letter has been sent to Gloster to get an update on Patel regarding his (ankle) injury.

The right-arm paceman had injured his ankle during the one-day Internationals, preceding the ongoing Test series and has mostly been an onlooker on the tour barring an appearance in a two-day practice game arranged hastily between the first and second Tests.

The team management has decided to keep him back instead of sending him home though he has played very little part in the Test series, that started on December 15.
