4 litre kerosene for ration card holders in MP
Bhopal, Dec 27 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government has decided to distribute four litre kerosene per ration card in both rural and urban areas from January, 2007 as per its new policy to distribute blue kerosene on the basis of families and population in each district.
The state's monthly allotment of kerosene is 52,320 kilo litre, official sources said.
The government has directed the district collectors to distribute in free sale the remaining quantity of kerosene after distribution to ration card holders.
While adulteration of diesel and petrol with kerosene is rampant across the state, kerosene is scarce even in the state capital, where retail price is Rs 25 per litre.
