17 pedestrians injured in UP road mishap

Lucknow, Dec 27 (UNI) At least 17 persons were injured after they were hit by a speeding jeep in Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh.

Superintendent of Police, Jalaun Krishna Mohan today said the accident took place under Urai Kotwali police station area, where the speeding jeep injured 17 pedestrians late last night.

The injured were rushed to hospital, where two seriouly wounded were sent for treatment to Kanpur.

A case had been registered.
