Warne takes 700th test wicket

MELBOURNE, Dec 26 (Reuters) England lost the wickets of Paul Collingwood and Andrew Strauss in quick succession as Australia's Shane Warne became the first bowler in history to take 700 test wickets on the first day of the fourth Ashes test.

First Collingwood (28) holed out to Ricky Ponting at second slip off Brett Lee's bowling before Warne brought the housedown by bowling Strauss for fifty, reducing England to 101 for four.

Earlier, Lee had opener Alastair Cook caught behind for 11 and Ian Bell was trapped leg before by Stuart Clark for seven on a rain-interrupted day.
