Thieves enter house, steal gold ornaments from almirah

Chennai, Dec 26: Unidentified miscreants broke open a locked house and made away with 65 sovereigns of gold ornaments, Rs three lakh cash and other valuables at suburban East Tambaram.

According to police Chandran (55), working as an electrician in the Airforce Station, Tambaram, along with his family went on a tour to Kanniyakumari and other places, a couple of days ago.

After returnng to their house last evening, they found the house broke open, steel almirah ransacked, and the valuables kept in the bureau stolen, police added.
