Shiv Sena-BJP to announce seat-sharing arrangement in 4 days
Mumbai, Dec 26 (UNI) The seat-sharing arrangement between the BJP-Shiv Sena in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections is likely to be announced in the next four days.
Talking to UNI, senior Sena leader Manohar Joshi said the discussions between the two are in the final stage and a chunk of seats will be finalised. The negotiations are on for the seats, which are claimed by both the parties.
The discussions are expected to be completed within the next four days, he added.
The former Lok Sabha Speaker said a meeting of the office-bearers to discuss the party's manifesto was held at the city Mayor's bungalow this morning, which was attended among others by Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackeray.
Mr Joshi said Sena chief Bal Thackeray will tomorrow address a party workers meeting in the western suburb of Goregaon, which will be the first election meeting for the Sena.
Meanwhile, state BJP president Nitin Gadkari, who is busy in the pre-electoral work for Nagpur, Amravati and Akola civic bodies, is expected to come here tomorrow and may have a meeting with the Sena chief.
