SEC specifies documents for identification in LB polls

Hyderabad, Dec 26 (UNI) The State Election Commission (SEC) today specified the list of documents that could be produced by the voters to establish their identify in local bodies polls.

SEC Secretary G N Rao said in a statement here Identiy Cards, Passports, Driving Licenses, PAN cards, service Identity cards and property documents were valid for identification during elections.

Mr Rao said the document would be enumerated to identify the entire family. Possessing the documents did not confer a right on the person to vote in the local body polls, if his name was not enrolled in the voters list, he added.
