Ranji: Goa secure first innings lead
Indore, Dec 26 (UNI) Bundling out hosts Madhya Pradesh for 205 runs, Goa secured a first innings lead of 18 runs on the second day of a Ranji Trophy Plate Group A match at the Usha Raje Cricket Ground here.
At stumps, Goa's second innings score read 67 for the loss of 2 wickets.
The hosts, who resumed at an overnight score of 28 for 1, lost batsmen at regular intervals. Amit Paul (31) and Mohnish Mishra (56) added 60 runs -- the best partnership in the innings -- for the second wicket while Murtaza Ali contributed 49.
Robin D'Souza and Sahil Dhuri claimed 3 wickets each while Anil Naik took 2 and S Bandekar scalped 1.
After Goa began wielding the willow, Sanjay Pandey and T Sudheendra took a wicket each. At stumps, S Asnodkar (11) and Dhuri (12) were at the crease.
