MCOCA court rejects bail of two 7/11 blasts accused
Mumbai, Dec 26 (UNI) Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court today rejected the bail application of two 7/11 serial blasts accused on the ground that police had filed a chargesheet against them.
The petition was filed by Ahatshyam Siddique and Dr Tanvir Ansari.
MCOCA Judge Mridula Bhatkar, while rejecting the petition, observed that the prosecution had filed the chargesheet against the duo on time.
The petitioner, in the application, had mentioned that as the prosecution had filed the chargesheet after the stipulated timeframe, they should be released on bail.
The duo were accused of their involvement in the July 11 serial bomb blasts in Mumbai's suburban trains, in which over 190 people were killed and more than 700 others wounded.
