Irregularities in distribution of Urea : Ansari
Patna, Dec 26 (UNI) National vice-president of Akhil Bhartiya Kisan Sabha and former MP Jalaluddin Ansari today alleged large scale bunglings and irregularities in distribution of urea fertiliser in Bihar.
In a statement issued here, Mr Ansari said farmers were moving from pillar to post in quest for fertilisers while the state government continued to remain in deep slumber. ''If farmers do not get urea during Rabi crops season, they would have to suffer huge losses'' he added.
State government had been provided 4.5 lakhs tonnes of urea but due to irreguralities committed in its distribution, farmers failed to get the fertiliser, he alleged.
Mr Ansari said that state government should make arrangements for distribution of fertilisers at panchayat levels. He exhorted farmers to launch agitation if state government failed to take remedial measures.
