Goa secure first innings lead
Indore, Dec 26 (UNI) Bundling out hosts Madhya Pradesh for 205, Goa secured a first innings lead of 18 runs on the second day of their Ranji Trophy Plate Group A match at the Usha Raje Cricket Ground here today.
At stumps, Goa were 67 for the loss of two wickets in their second innings.
The hosts, who resumed at an overnight score of 28 for one, lost batsmen at regular intervals. Amit Paul (31) and Mohnish Mishra (56) added 60 runs -- the best partnership in the innings -- for the second wicket while Murtaza Ali contributed 49.
For Goa, Robin D'Souza and Sahil Dhuri claimed three wickets each while Anil Naik took two and S Bandekar scalped one.
When Goa began their second essay, Sanjay Pandey and T Sudheendra took a wicket each. At stumps, S Asnodkar (11) and Dhuri (12) were at the crease.
