SP asks PM to first retrospect before making statements

Sultanpur, Dec 25 (UNI) The ruling Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh today slammed the statement of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the state's need for a forward-looking leadership, saying those who live in glass houses should not throw stone on others.

Reacting to the statement made by the Prime Minister, SP state president Ram Sharan Das here claimed that Congress-ruled states rank much worse than Uttar Pradesh.

Mr Das said the UP government has not received any ''donations'' from the Centre, saying ''We are seeking a fair contribution by the Centre for the state's development.'' Mr Das claimed SP would definitely complete its tenure.

Dr Manmohan Singh is dancing on the tune of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and has fallen prey to her politics, he alleged.
