Russian Catholics celebrate Christmas
Moscow, Dec 25 (UNI) Russian Catholics celebrated Christmas today with religious fervour and enthusiasm.
Catholic churches in Russia performed Christmas masses last night.
Head of Russian Catholics Archbishop Tadeus Kondrusiewicz delivered the overnight service at the Catholic Cathedral in the Malaya Gruzinskaya Street here.
The parish consists mainly from members of the Diplomatic Corps as well as Catholics from Poland, Germany, Spain and other countries.
There are 251 Catholic communities and organisations in Russia as of December 2006, Russian Justice Ministry said.
Russian churches will celebrate Christmas on January 7 according to the Julian Calendar.
