Jharkhand government should be assertive in its action:Sahay
Jamshedpur, Dec 25 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Food Processing Subodh Kant Sahay today expressed concern over the ''bureaucratic stranglehold'' in the regime and said the Jharkhand government should come out from it by ''acting assertively.'' Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Sahay admitted that the reign of the govenment was in the hands of some ''corrupt bureaucrats'' and even the Ministers were not able to break this stranglehold.
He suggested that the government should tackle the situation firmly to prove that this goverment was different from its predecessor.
Sending a strong signal to the state government, Mr Sahay said the Congress would not compromise with the welfare of the common mass.
He said the government should formulate transparent rehabiliatation measures in its industrial and mining policies to attract the investors in the state and also suggested to form a land bank for transparent land acquisition for the industrialists.
Expressing concern over the corruption, he said right to information should be made more effective.
The Minister said the naxlalite problem should not be curbed through bullets and this scoio-economical problem should be solved by providing basic needs to the exploited classes.
Mr Sahay said the previous NDA government in the state had failed to provide land for the proposed Food Park and hoped the present government would provide land soon. The medium and small scale industries would be the beneficiaries from this project, he added.
