CM directs Collectors to monitor power situation daily
Hydeabad, Dec 25 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today directed all the district collectors to personally monitor the power situtation daily to ensure that seven hours power supply was maintained to the farmers everyday at one go or in maximum of two spells.
In a statement here, Principal secretary to the Chief Minister Jannat Husain said Dr Reddy, who is reviewing the power situation has expressed dissatisfaction over the present supply of electricity.
He said the Chief Minister desired that all the district collectors should review the power position in their respective districts on a daily basis in the morning with all the officers concerned, including Superintending Engineer of DISCOM, Agriculture Officers and Irrigation Officers.
The details of supply position on the previous day, demand-supply gap if any, problems faced in supply and the expected position for the next day should be released to the media for the purpose of transparency and communication to the consumer. The collectors should also intimate all information of relating to power to the legislators in the district, the statement added.
