Amartya Sen faints in Dhaka
Dhaka, Dec 25 (UNI) Nobel laureate Amartya Sen tonight fell into a brief state of unconsciousness when he was having dinner at the BRAC-Inn Center here.
Mr Sen fainted at about 2200 hrs local time. However, he gained consiousness after some time and his condition was said to be stable, Center for Policy Dialogue Executive Director Debapriya Bhattacharya told UNI.
''He did not want to see doctor, he is taking rest, he is alright, there is nothing to be panicked,'' Mr Bhattacharya said.
Mr Sen will attend his scheduled programme at the BRAC-Inn-Center tomorrow, he said.
