7 IPS officers promoted in Punjab

Chandigarh, Dec 25 (UNI) The Punjab government today elevated IG (Crime) G D Pandey to the rank of ADGP, three DIGs to the rank of IG and three SSPs as DIGs with immediate effect.

Besides Mr Pandey's elevation, DIG (Traffic) Sanjeev Kumar has been promoted as ADGP (Traffic), DIG (Ludhiana Range) Parag Jain as IG (Security), DIG (Patiala Range) H S Randhawa as IG (Intelligence), SSP Varinder Kumar as DIG (Intelligence), SSP Ishwar Singh as DIG (Ludhiana Range), Commandant 75 Battalion J K Jain as DIG (IRB-II), according to a notification issued here.

DIG (Intelligence) K J S Pannu has been transferred as DIG (Patiala Range) vice H S Randhawa, the notification added.
