Wounded militant taken away by people in Udhampur

Jammu, Dec 24 (UNI) A wounded militant injured in a gun battle was taken away by the people of Arnas in Udhampur district, after pelting the security forces with stones, official sources said here today.

The unidentified militant was injured in the gun battle with 11 BSF Battalion and police troops at a nullah in Sadok (Challad) village near Arnas under Mahore police station yesterday, the sources said.

An SPO (Special Police Officer), Mohammad Rafiq, was also wounded in the operation, the sorces added.

Meanwhile, civilians interfered and took away the injured militant, police said.
