War-like stores seized in Kashmir
Srinagar, Dec 24 (UNI) The Army today claimed to have seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Baramulla district of north Kashmir.
A defence spokesman said four Army columns were launched to conduct a search operation at Sheeri village in Baramulla district's border area of Uri following specific information today.
During searches, troops seized huge war-like stores.
Two AK rifles, 1084 AK ammunition, seven AK magazines, four pistols, five pistol magazines, 32 pistol ammunition, 57 UBGL grenades, two UBGLs, one disposal rocket launcher, 40 hand grenades, seven anti-tank mines, five anti-tank grenades, four Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), three IED chargers, nine detonators, one binocular, four kg explosives, three rocket propelled grenade shells and three radio sets were seized from the area, the spokesman added.
With the seizure of such huge war-like stores, he said militants have suffered a setback in carrying out anti-national activities.
