Tributes paid to Periyar on death anniversary

Puducherry,Dec 24(UNI) Rich tributes were paid to the Tamil Rationaist leader and Dravidar Kazhagam founder, Periyar E V Ramaswami on his 33rd death anniversary here today.

Chief Minister N Rangasamy garlanded the statue of Periyar at Pillaithottam here, on behalf of the Government.

Leaders of the DMK, AIADMK, MDMK, DK, Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam, were among those, who garlanded the statue to mark the occasion.
