Sepak Takraw junior nationals commence at Chandigarh

Chandigarh, Dec 24 (UNI) The 10th edition of the Junior National Sepak Takraw Championships (boys and girls) commenced with an exhibition match between holders Manipur and Nagaland at the Mount Carmel School premises here today.

Chairman and Managing Director of Punjab Police Housing Corporation and Additional Director General of Police, Anil Kaushik inaugurated the championship.

Meanwhile Organising Secretary Baljinder Singh Banwait said the matches would be played in two sessions daily. Boys competitions are being conducted at St Joseph's School and the girls matches will be played at Mount Carmel Convent School.
