Police use force to control mob at Saifai Mahotsav

Etawah, UP, Dec 24 (UNI) Police used force to disperse the mob trying to gate-crash into the Saifai Mahotsav venue here tonight.

Eye witnesses said the trouble started when a group of people, with valid passes, were not allowed to enter the venue. In the process, the mob tried to gate-crash inside the enclosure.

Police used lathi-charge even as Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav remained seated on the stage and the programme continued.

Today is the concluding function of the annual Saifai Mahotsav, held at the home town of CM Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Till the reports last poured in, trouble was still continuing at the venue.
