Loksabha member fumes over SWR authorities

Hubli, Dec 24(UNI) The Union Minister of state for Railways R Velu had to face embarassing situation when he arrived here to lay foundation stone for New Hubli Railway station complex, when the Lok Sabha member Manjunath Kunnur representing Dharwad South in the Parliament, registered his protest for not inviting him by the Railway authorities for the function.

As soon as the Union Minister arrived to the venue to inagurate the Railway works the Lok Sabha member Mr Kunnur brought to the notice of the minister that he was not invited by the South Western Railway officials breaching protocol. The member become more furious when the minister invited him to dias while the General Manager of the SWR remained mute spectator.

Mr Manjunath while informing the minsiter that he is boycotting the function in protest against the attitude of the Railway authorities and would also bring to the notice of the Lok Sabha Speaker Mr Somanath Chatterjee and Union Railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav for insulting him for not inviting for the function.
