Srinagar, Dec 24 (UNI) Another batch of 197 Haj pilgrims, including 85 women, from Jammu and Kashmir left here for Jeddah in a special flight today.
The pilgrims were seen off at the Srinagar Airport by senior officials of the state administration and the Haj Committee.
With this, a total of 10,376 people from Jammu and Kashmir have proceeded on the Haj pilgrimage so far.
About 10,674 pilgrims from the state would be able to perform the Haj this year as compared to 9,200 in 2005.
The Haj flights from Srinagar to Jeddah yesterday were cancelled due to technical reasons.
