Urea scarcity unfortunate:Pachauri
Hoshangabad, MP, Dec 23 (UNI) Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Pachauri today described the shortage of urea in Madhya Pradesh as unfortunate.
Mr Pachauri, who was here to take part in the 52nd National School Cricket Competition, told reporters here that the Centre would take immediate steps to provide urea the State Government place a proposal in this regard.
Meanwhile, a UNI report from Bhopal said, two rail racks containing 4,800 metric tonne urea today arrived at Itarsi and Chhindwara.
A total of 5.89 lakh tonne urea has been received by the state.
Eight rail racks of urea were on the way to the state. The state government had chalked out a plan for its proper distribution, an official release here said.
The government appealed to farmers to purchase urea at the prescribed price besides issuing direction to administrative officials to monitor black-marketing or hoarding.
