Undertrail commits suicide in prison

Tiruchirapalli, Dec 23 (UNI) An undertrial allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself inside the high-security Central Prison here today.

Police said K Sahadevan of Thandalai Village in Jayamkondam Taluk of Perambalur District was arrested along with his two friends in connection with a murder case.

The prison authorities brought the body to the Government Headquarters Hospital saying he had committed suicide for reasons not known.

A Revenue Divisional Official Inquiry had been ordered into the incident.
