Three killed, 3 injured in Kashmir highway accident

Srinagar, Dec 23 (UNI) Three persons were killed and as many wounded when a Jammu-bound truck skidded off the road on this Srinagar-Jammu national highway and fell into a 300 feet deep george this afternoon.

Official sources said the truck left Srinagar this morning for Jammu.

However, when the truck driver was trying to overtake a Sumo taxi, it fell into a deep george at Panthal.

The sources said two persons were killed on the spot and four others wounded.

The injured were admitted to hospital where one more injured died.

The deceased persons were from Gurdaspur Punjab, the sources said.
