Ten weapons seized from two persons

Mumbai, Dec 23 (UNI) As many as ten country-made weapons and 21 live cartridges were seized from two persons hailing from Uttar Pradesh at Antop Hill in Southcentral Mumbai, yesterday, police today said.

Police said arrested persons- Suresh Ramcharitra Tiwari (30) and Dinesh Durgaprasad Yadav (22) from Uttar Pradesh, had came here to deliver weapons to a party.

Acting on a tip-off, the Antop Hill police conducted a raid and nabbed both the culprits and recovered 10 weapons comprising six country-made revolvers, four country-made pistols and 21 live cartridges, the police said here today.

Both the accused have been arrested under the Arm Act and further investigations are underway.
