sugar price decline on thin buying support

Mumbai, Dec 23 (UNI) Sugar price declined on thin buying support, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association said.

Sugar in small and medium grade eased by Rs 10 and Rs 48 per quintal respectively on lack of fresh demand.

Sugar in ex-mill small grade fell by Rs 27 per quintal due increase of stock supply while medium grade rose by Rs 40 higher advice from retailers.

Following were the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,562/1,615, Medium grade: Rs 1,612/1,715 Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,545/1,570 Medium grade: Rs 1,590/1,620 UNI NVVD PM AW1450
