Sr. Men's hockey to begin on Dec 27

Kannur, Dec 23 (UNI) The 19th South Zone Senior Men's Hockey for Fr. Xaviour Kanianpuram Trophy will be held at the Municipal Stadium in Thalassery from December 27 to 30.

Teams including holders Karnataka, runner-up Tamil Nadu, Hyderabad, Andhra, Pudussery, Kerala have been grouped together in two pools for the preliminary league.

Kerala High Court Judge A K Basheer will inaugurate the championship on December 27. The opening match is between Kerala and Andhra, organising committee chairman K P Ravindran told a press conference at Thalassery today.
