Simarjeet, Manav crash out of East India Amateur Golf

Kolkata, Dec 23 (UNI) Simarjeet Singh and Manav Das, two of the biggest names on the Royal Challenge Indian Golf Tour, were shown the door at the Goodricke East India Amateur Golf Championship here today.

The relatively experienced Vikram Rana beat Manav Das 1-up while Raj Randhawa, hailing from the famous Randhawa family, ousted three-time Sri Lankan Amateur winner Simarjeet by a score-line of 2&1.

In the two other encounters of the day, Surya Prakash beat Samaresh Sardar 3&1 while Himmat Rai got the better of Tarun Ghogale by a 4&3 margin.

In the semi-finals, Vikram Rana will meet Surya Prakash while Raj Randhawa will clash with Himmat Rai.
