Rs 100 crore sanctioned for setting up 3,613 units in Srinagar
Srinagar, Dec 23 (UNI) An amount of Rs 100 crore has been sanctioned by various banks to unemployed youths for setting up 3,613 income generating units in Srinagar district during first six months of current financial year.
There is a target to provide Rs 229.20 crore as loan to establish 13,011 units in the district during this fiscal, this infomation was given at District Consultative Committee meeting of Lead Bank held here today with Additional Deputy Commissioner Syed Shareef-ud-Din in chair.
It was given out that Rs 17.45 crore were provided under non- farming and industry sector while Rs 81.70 crore were extended under trade and services sector.
Under different poverty alleviation and employment generation programmes, Rs 5.52 crore have been disbursed for establishing 801 units in the district.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner called upon the sponsoring agencies and different banks to speed up process of credit flow so that the beneficiaries do not face any inconveniences to seek loan.
