Prime Minister arrives Kolkata tonight
Kolkata, Dec 23 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrived at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) airport this evening on a two-day visit to West Bengal.
Dr Singh was received at the airport by Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and Governor Gopal Krishna Gandhi.
Dr Singh drove straight from the airport to Raj Bhawan, where he would spend the night.
On Sunday morning, Dr Singh would lay the foundation for expansion of IISCO Steel Plant at Burnpur in Bardhaman district.
Dr Singh would also inaugurate the platinum jubilee celebration of the Indian Statistical Institute at Baranagar near here in the noon.
The Prime Minister would leave the city in tomorrow evening itself.
