Morphine worth Rs 1.25 crore seized, 3 arrested

Lucknow, Dec 23 (UNI) A narcotics department team seized 200 gms morphine worth Rs 1.25 crore and arrested three persons, including a woman, in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh this evening.

Acting on a tip-off, cops arrested Marjeena and Javed in Kotwali area of Barabanki, official sources said here.

On being frisked, morphine worth Rs 1.25 crore was recovered from their possession.

Later, their alleged customer Uma Shankar was also nabbed.

A case had been registered.
