Mittal Trust extends sponsorship for Manavjit, Mansher, Sodhi

New Delhi, Dec 23 (UNI) Manavjit Sandhu, Ronjan Sodhi and Mansher Singh's career got a shot in the arm with Mittal Champions Trust bringing the shooting trio under its sponsorship umbrella.

According to a release by Morna Sports Management, which has been the catalyst in the process, the trio have been inducted in the Sporting Excellence Programme.

''The sponsorship will assist these shooters in covering training costs both in India and abroad and also ensure that they have access to the very best equipment and facilities, so they may build from strength to strength in the world shooting arena.

''With the Beijing Olympics at arms reach, this sponsorship could not have been better timed,'' the release added.

Current World Champion in trap shooting Manavjit feels that the deal is a vindication of all the hard work that has planted him literally on top of the world.

''The support from Mittal Champions Trust will go a long way in achieving the Olympic dream,'' the ace shooter said.

Veteran Mansher Singh, who was also part of the silver medal winning trap team at the Doha Asian Games, hopes sponsorships like these will egg him on to go the extra mile at the 2008 Olympics.
