Mem of Deaf Federation observe fast

Chennai, Dec 23: Members of the Tamil Nadu State Federation of the Deaf observed a fast here today to condemn the alleged non-implementation of the will of former Chief Minister M G Ramachandran, even 19 years after his demise.

There were nearly two lakh deaf and dumb people in the state and for their welfare, the late leader had left some valuable assets, the agitators said, adding that out of the income from the assets, a special school for the deaf and dumb could be run in Ramavaram Gardens, where the late MGR lived.
