Leopards strike terror in Hamirpur
Hamirpur, Dec 23 (UNI) Two people were seriously injured in separate incidents of leopard attack in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh, sources in the forest department said.
The leopard attacked and injured Mahesh Kumar and Vijay Kumar in two separate incidents in Kakrot Village of the district.
The sources yesterday said the animal escaped in the forest after they raised an alarm.
Both have been admitted to the Bhoranj hospital for treatment, where the doctors described their condition stable, they said.
Bhoranj Divisional Forest Officer Sanjay Sood told reporters that cages were being put in the village and efforts were on to cage the leopards.
