Kurukshetra to be developed as global holy destination

Bhiwani, Dec 23 (UNI) The Haryana government will spend an amount of Rs 30 crore for promoting Kurukshetra as a holy destination on the international tourism arena.

This amount will be spent on connecting the holy places in Kurukshetra in one Circuit Corridor so as to enable tourists to visit all these places in one visit, Haryana Minister of State for Tourism Kiran Choudhry said yesterday while presiding over a function at Tosham in this district.

Ms Choudhry said the State Government had also decided to promote Pinjore as a centre of attraction on the tourism map, she added.

The Minister said the department was also going to introduce eco-tourism in Kalesar, Sultanpur lake and Morni. These places would also become centres of attraction on the international level.

She said the State Government was also making strenuous efforts for promoting other areas of tourists attractions.
