Kasenna opens IPTV Center of Excellence in B'lore

Bangalore, Dec 23: California head quartered Kasenna Incorporated--the IPTV Company, today announced opening of its Centre of Excellence here.

The Centre would promote the smooth deployment of IPTV systems by offering an ecosystem of pre-integrated products from a number of equipment vendors. The Centre would also help Indian telecom companies differentiate their offerings and determine which content was likely to be of greatest interest to viewers, according to a company release.

Leading media and communication research firm media partners project that India's entertainment industry would reach USD 10 billion by 2009, according to a release from Kasenna here.

The broadband subscribers in India were expected to grow to 20 million by 2010 from three million in 2005. India's major services providers, including MTNL, VSNL, BSNL, Bharati, Reliance, TBSL, IOL and others have been looking at IPTV seriously.
