JMM to appeal in HC against lower court verdict in Shashi Jha case
Ranchi, Dec 23 (UNI) The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) would appeal in the High Court against the verdict of a Delhi Court, which pronounced life imprisonment to party supremo and former Union Minister Sibu Soren in the Shashi Nath Jha murder case.
At present Mr Soren is lodged in Tihar jail facing the imprisonment.
Talking to reporters here, party's general secretary Hemlal Murmu, MP, alleged that Mr Soren was in jail ''because of the NDA's conspiracy'' and said an appeal would be made in January next year.
Mr Murmu said the party had launched 'Nyay Yatra' for the alleged role of CBI in the matter.
He said as a part of agitation they would also organise 'Nyay Satyagah' and 'Jail Bharo Andolan' from next year.
Speaking about the organisation's proposed confederation, he said the 8th confederation would be organised from December 27 to 29 in Deoghar.
Party general secreatry and son of JMM supermo Durga Soren said the then NDA government ''misused'' its power and conspired against his father.
