Jewelleries worth Rs 15 lakh stolen in Sheikhpura

Sheikhpura, Dec 23 (UNI) A group of criminals broke open the locks of a shop of a local goldsmith and decamped with the jewelleries worth Rs 15 lakh here late last night.

Police superintendent(trainee) Ramanand Kaushal said here today that the criminals attacked the shop of a prominent trader Ramvilas Prasad Saw in Lalbagh locality and fled away with the precious articles including 800 gm gold, 15 kg silver, Rs 6000 in cash and other materials from the shop.

A youth of the same locality Vinod Kumar was picked up for interrogation in this connection.
