Jeev still in awe of Tiger Woods

New Delhi, Dec 23 (UNI) Jeev Milkha Singh's dream run has earned him rich tribute from world number one Tiger Woods and the Indian returned the compliment by describing the iconic American as ''best ambassador of the game'' and ''a great human being''.

''That Tiger is a golf icon is known to all. But I found he is a great human being and the best ambassador of the game,'' Jeev said during a felicitation ceremony at theDelhi Golf Club here last night.

Jeev, who was paired with Woods in the HSBC Champions in Shanghai, said, ''It was an unforgettable experience for me and I'm still excited about it.

''I was quite excited when I was paired with him in Shanghai, but he put me at ease within the first couple of holes,'' said Jeev.

Asked what he found most attractive in Woods' game, Jeev gushed, ''It has to be his course management. I mean the way he can put behind a bad shot, provided he plays one, and get along with the next. That's just incredible.'' Interestingly, Jeev too has worked on the mental side of his game and more than result, he has been trying to follow the process, which has been the secret of his success.

In Shanghai, Woods was all praise for Jeev, who won four titles in three different Tours in a dream year that saw him leapfrog from 376 to 37th in the world rankings.

''He has been working very hard on his game and playing unbelievable amount of golf. I would like to congratulate him on the wins and I really hope to see him play on the US PGA Tour,'' Woods had said.

''Jeev is a great guy and I am so happy for him that he is doing so well. He has become a friend and I am following his progress,'' Woods said.

Told that Jeev had broken into the top-50 World Rankings, Woods said ''I think he fully deserves it''.
