First South Asian elected to Asian Wushu body

Lucknow, Dec 23 (UNI) Founder general secretary of Wushu Association of India (WAI) and president South Asian Wushu Federation, Anand Kacker has been elected member of the Executive Committee, Wushu Federation of Asia.

Mr Kacker was unanimously elected to the post at the recently concluded 15th Asian Games at Doha, Qatar.

This is for the first time that an official from South Asia has been elected to the sport's supreme Asian body, WAI joint secretary Manish Kacker said here today.
