Fake notes worth 3.6 lakh seized at Nagpur railway station
Nagpur, Dec 23 (UNI) Sleuths from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) have seized fake notes worth Rs 3.6 lakh and nabbed two passengers carrying them at Nagpur railway station.
The fake notes were seized yesterday after a vendor at the station got suspicious about a 100-rupee note given to him by a passenger and alerted the police, RPF Commandant R S Chauhan said.
The passengers were found carrying 36 bundles of notes in the denomination to 100 each in a bag, he said.
The two suspects, Tapankumar Shridhar Nayak (26) and Alok Panu Maharana (35), were residents of Orissa, he added.
