Child falls into pit, efforts to rescue on

Raisen, MP, Dec 23 (UNI) A five-year-old child died after he fell into a pit at Sunahra village in this district this evening, official sources said.

Vinay Pal was caught at a depth of 17 feet in the 100-feet-deep pit being dug for boring.

On receiving information, the district administration started rescue operations.

A big ditch was dug with the help of JCB machine and the child was brought out. However, he could not be saved.
