Cattle seized, 51 held

Shajapur, MP, Dec 23 (UNI) A gang, involved in illegal cattle trade, was busted with the arrest of 51 people and seizure of 11 trucks and 153 cattle heads, police said today.

''On a tip-off, police seized the trucks and cattle near Shajapur railway station yesterday and arrested the culprits,'' Superintendent of Police Asha Mathur said.

The cattle, purchased from Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, were being conveyed to Maharashtra. The gang included some businessmen.

He added that the cattle and truck were worth Rs 15 lakh.
