Bomb threat call turns hoax in AP
Rajahmundry, Dec 23 (UNI) Police today removed the bomb, which was kept in a Bank of India branch in the town.
Police said the Bank Manager P Varadhachari received a call at 1130 hours stating that there was a bomb kept in the bank premises.
The caller had identified himself as a member of the Praja Prathighatana Maoist group. The bank staff, however, saw a plastic bag containing green leaves and timer with battery.
Based on the complaint, a police team rushed to the spot squad and found that no explosive material was found in the bomb.
