Bihar government's new year bonanza for judges

Patna, Dec 23 (UNI) The Bihar government today gave green signal for purchasing 25 luxurious cars in the new year for the judges of Patna High court.

In an important decision, the state Cabinet approved the proposal. The Cabinet also sanctioned Rs 1.44 crore for purchase of the cars to be avaiable at the disposal of the judges in the new year.

The Cabinet sanctioned opening of Nalanda Horticulture college at Noorsarai in Nalanda district and sanctioned Rs 90 crore for this purpose of which Rs six crore would be released during the current fiscal.

It also gave its nod for setting up a Joint Labour Commissioner office in New Delhi to safeguard the interests of migrant labourers from Bihar working in different states.

A proposal for reconstitution of Mines and Geological department was also cleared by the Cabinet.

A decision was taken to modify the guidelines for fencing of graveyards in different districts of the state, while birth anniversaries of great writers Phanishwar Nath Renu and Rashtra Kavi Ramdhari Singh Dinkar would now be officially observed.

The Cabinet gave its nod to kick off Bihar Sam Vikas Yojana in 17 districts of the state as the rest of the 21 districts were already covered under a National scheme of similar nature, funded by the Centre.
