Bandh observed to protest death in police custody

Indore, Dec 23 (UNI) A total bandh was observed today at Hatod near here following the death of a man in police custody.

Shops and business establishments remained closed in view of the bandh call given by the BJP and the Congress leaders to protest the death.

Rameshchandra was arrested yesterday on the charge of betting.

He was allegedly beaten up resulting in his death.

His body was sent to the Maharaja Yashwant Rao Hospital for post-mortem.

A magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the incident.
